Tana Brackins got hooked on photography at the Land O Lakes High School in Land O Lakes, FL, when her friend suggested they get cameras and become yearbook photographers. The first time she saw a print floating in a tray of fixer, she was totally inphotography was in her blood! Tana was named the most outstanding student at LOLHS.She later attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where she took two years dedicated to studying nothing but photography including commercial work, portraiture, zone system, product, interiors, and development of both color and black/white.Since graduating from AIFL, Tana has owned her own custom framing gallery, The Beck Gallery, in Lutz, Florida. The gallery provides custom framing and recently, large format digital printing. Tana is also a very talented portrait photographer and is set up for portrait photography in her gallery.Tana has some very notable achievements involving her work. She has been in many top notch shows and galleries such as:Sweet Dreamz at the Dali Museum 2010 -- an image designed around a quote. "Many reported lucid dreams may been seen as the dreamer thinking she is in control in the dream when in fact the dream source may want her to think she is in control."TBBCA - Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts 16th Annual Gala 2010. The organization holds an annual gala to raise money for the Arts.Ybor City Museum Society Women of Ybor 2010 - was called "Tres Mujares". A photograph of the flamenco dancers at the Columbia restaurant. The exhibit was to recognize the women of Ybor.Artist in Nude Nite 2010 -- a photograph representing the lifespan of man. A nude elderly man holds a baby. Looking at the baby, he might have been thinking, this was once me.Castaway Magazine 2010 a photograph of a rod and reel to show ESPN's Doug Hannon's new reel called the "Microwave"Pology Magazine 2009 -- a photograph of Arenal Volcano taken in Costa Rica.Along with Tanas artistic talents, her gallery has also made some very notable achievements such as being selected "Best of Pasco" Custom Framer and Art Gallery 2009 and 2010, National Shadowbox Framerica Boxer Challenge Awards three consecutive years in a row, Art Gallery chosen Top 100 Art and Framing Retailer 2005, and the gallery was featured in Decor Magazine 2005.Tana has also been a Jurist for numerous art shows in the Pasco and Hillsborough counties.
