We can print your digital photographs, or we can reproduce your traditionally developed photos and artwork. what is HDR?HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. It is a specialized photographic technique that results in a broader spectrum of color in the finished photograph. HDR pictures have a complex saturation of certain color ranges, producing a surreal, vibrant look. Our printer uses special HDR ultrachrome archival inks. what the (bleep) is a Giclee and how do you pronounce it?Giclee (pronounced “zhee-clay“) is a relatively new term. Coined in the 90’s, it refers to the production of a high quality image using special inkjet printers. Giclees have become popular in the art world because they allow artists to quickly reproduce original works without having the substantial time and monetary commitment common to other methods. what kind of media do you offer? We offer a broad range of print media, including canvas, fine art, velvet fine art, luster, gloss and matte papers. If there is a specific media you are interested in that we do not have currently available, please let us know and we will obtain it for you.what is digital capture?Digital capture is a very high quality image we shoot from your original art. We have a full professional photography studio on site. Digital capture is a one time only charge. Once we make a capture for you, we can produce an infinite amount of prints from it. why does mounting have a separate charge?In addition to being a printer, we are also a custom frame shop. Mounting charges vary depending on how you want the finished product to be displayed. what is the difference between a normal canvas stretch and a gallery wrap? A normal canvas stretch has staples on the outer edges, holding the canvas to the stretcher bar. Usually canvases that have a normal canvas stretch are going to be framed, and the staples hidden. A museum wrapped canvas usually has at least a depth of 1’ and no staples are visible from the side. A museum wrap is recommended for those customers that want to hang their artwork on the wall without a frame.
